 Alberta Cans for Kids hopes to raise $100,000 for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation by encouraging people to toss drink cans into specially marked bins at Alberta’s 200 bottle depots. Afton School is going to be featured as the Can-Do-School for the next six months at participating bottle depots across northern Alberta.

 When Hair Massacure started in 2003, 48 people shaved their heads and raised $37,000. The event has grown by leaps and pinks, and in 2011 more than 1,740 participants, 23 schools and 400 volunteers worked together and raised $1,050,000!
There are many ways to get involved: pink your hair, shave your head, donate your long hair, volunteer and fundraise!

 Presented by Great Canadian Roofing, Siding, and Windows, Corus radio stations 92.5 JOE FM, CISN COUNTRY 103.9, and 630 CHED will broadcast live from the Stollery Children's Hospital. The stations will be sharing inspiring real-life stories of patients, families and staff to raise money for pediatric equipment and research.

 On January 23, 2012, Alberta Premier Alison Redford opened Edmonton's first emergency department dedicated to pediatric and family-centered care. A $26.3-million renovation at Stollery Children's Hospital expanded and separated the Stollery's emergency department from the University of Alberta Hospital.
