It’s time.

With more than 150,000 patient visits each year, the need to support our children continues to grow.

Our existing pediatric emergency at the Stollery Children’s Hospital is over capacity.  Originally built to accommodate 12,000 patients yearly, we now care for more than 24,000 children—double the number of patients our physical capacity can manage.

Every child who walks through the doors deserves leading-edge care.  That’s why we’re also raising close to $4 million to fund research projects that investigate critical child health issues, and nearly $1 million to train advanced pediatric specialists

Expanding the hospital and its capacity for treatment, research, and medical education will ensure greater opportunity for improved patient care, which ultimately means shorter wait times, shorter hospital stays, and better outcomes for our children.

In time.

We’re there for children who need us the most.  The Stollery is the primary acute care facility for all children in the greater Edmonton area, and also from northern Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut.  In fact, almost 50 per cent of patients come from outside the Edmonton area.

We care for premature babies all the way to 17 year-old children, and it’s our priority to ensure they feel like kids.  Whether it’s through a separate emergency triage and waiting area, researching cures to childhood diseases, educating our team on the most advanced pediatric sub-specialties, or developing innovative programming that treats critical child health issues, we can make it happen with funding provided by donors like you.

It’s vital.  Give today.  Build tomorrow.
