Help Kids Hope Broadcast raises $750,000 for the Stollery Children's Hospital
"This donation is a result of two very exciting and emotionally overwhelming days,” said Dallas Smith, Board Chair, Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Thanks to Astral Media Radio and its listeners, sick and injured children will continue to receive world-class pediatric care at the Stollery Children’s Hospital." Special guests dropped in on The Beach at the Stollery Children's Hospital including Edmonton Eskimos Ed Hervey and A.J. Gass. Edmonton Oiler Jarret Stoll joined the broadcast by phone, as did former Oilers Ryan Smyth and Georges Laraque. Patients, families and Stollery staff shared incredible stories of hope and courage, as over 120 employees at Intuit Canada volunteered their time and resources to answer hundreds of calls from generous donors. The event was made possible by Astral Media Radio, numerous corporate sponsors and Kelsey’s Restaurants who donated food for the staff.
