Aleem Popatia is a partner at Ogilvie LLP, a leading full-service law firm with nearly 100 years of history in Edmonton. Aleem’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, including private mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and reorganizations, and commercial ending as well as real estate law, including the purchase and sale of commercial and residential real estate, commercial leasing and franchising.
Aleem holds a bachelor of commerce in finance from the University of Alberta and a juris doctor with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan.
Aleem previously served on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity Edmonton, was a past legal chair for the Ismaili Council Legal Board, the past co-chair for the Ogilvie LLP United Way campaign and the past chair of the Business Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
In his free time, Aleem enjoys spending time with his family and young son and attempting to become a master home chef.
