Christine Westerlund is the senior operating officer at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
Christine began her career with the Stollery in September 2010. During her years at the Hospital, she has held a variety of director level positions, working with the site lead role, critical care, the operative services portfolio, the surgical portfolio, the family-centred care team, the social work team, and the quality and education team.
Christine began work as a front-line nurse in community health in 1995, providing immunizations to babies and teaching classes for new moms. Her career has included a variety of leadership roles in community health and in acute care, and has always supported her passion for children and families.
Christine earned a B.Sc. in nursing (1995) and an M.Sc. in health promotion (2001) from the University of Alberta.
Raised in Sherwood Park, Christine enjoys travelling with her husband and two sons.
