Kelly Blackett is the executive vice- president, human resources and corporate communications with Canadian Western Bank Group. As a member of CWB Group’s executive team, Kelly provides strategic leadership of all aspects of human resources, internal communications, public relations and community investment, with a focus on building CWB’s reputation as an employer and bank of choice. She is passionate about developing engaging, inclusive, rewarding and high performance work cultures and supporting the communities where CWB operates.
Prior to joining CWB Group, Kelly led Organization and Talent Development for General Electric in Canada. During her 17-year tenure with GE, Kelly held HR leadership roles supporting both Canadian and global business functions across both GE Capital and GE Corporate.
Kelly is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a bachelor of commerce with distinction. She has served as a mentor in the MORE program, which provides cross-business mentoring to female leaders in the Edmonton business community, and as a member of the business advisory council for the School of Business at MacEwan University. Kelly sits on the board of trustees for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation in Edmonton.
A proud “born and raised Albertan,” Kelly lives in Edmonton with her husband, Darren Dombrosky, and eight-year-old daughter, Evie. When not at work, her family can be found at arts and culture events, or skiing, hiking and paddling in Alberta’s great outdoors.
