Row for Kids is a partnership event, raising money for the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation and the Edmonton Rowing Club. Teams train for a regatta, which will be held at Telford Lake in Leduc, Alberta on September 8, 2018. In 2017, Row for Kids raised more than $131,000 and, since its inception, it has raised more than $1.3 million.
Everyone can join Row for Kids – whether you have rowing experience or are new to the sport. The Edmonton Rowing Club’s volunteer coaches work with teams to develop the skills they have and build the skills they need. Training takes place once per week over eight weeks at the Edmonton Rowing Club’s facilities on the beautiful North Saskatchewan River. Training starts in July and each session is about 1.5 hours.
Regatta day is September 8, 2018 (Saturday) and takes place at Telford Lake in Leduc—one of the best rowing venues on the prairies.
It’s a day of family fun with kids’ activities. Bring your cheering section!
