DESCRIPTION:Paint the city purple in support of Stollery kids!\nAs officially proclaimed by the City of Edmonton\, January 28 to February 4 will be Stollery No Bounds Week! This will serve as the official public launch of Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation’s No Bounds campaign. \nThis fundraising campaign will be the Foundation’s most ambitious campaign yet\, raising $1 billion to amplify excellence at the Stollery today\, while building a new\, stand-alone Stollery Children’s Hospital for tomorrow. \nThroughout the week\, Edmontonians will have numerous opportunities to paint the city purple to raise awareness and support for the Stollery No Bounds campaign\, including: \n\nJanuary 28\nThe High-Level Bridge will be lit purple to commemorate the week.\n\n\nJanuary 29 & 30\nTune in to the annual Corus Radiothon\, presented by Great Canadian Roofing\, Siding and Windows.\n\n\nJanuary 31\nStollery No Bounds is the beneficiary as part of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 50/50.\n\n\nFebruary 1\nDebut of a purple-themed Tickled Floral arrangement with proceeds going to Stollery kids all month long.\n\n\nFebruary 3\nMayor of the Mall – Stollery kids Addison and Addley will be taking over West Edmonton Mall as co-mayors for the day! Media opportunities will be available.\n\n\nFebruary 4\nRyan Nugent-Hopkins online contest and exciting giveaway.\n\nEdmontonians are encouraged to join in wearing purple or Stollery gear and light up their houses purple throughout the week\, with many schools declaring a ‘wear purple’ day to commemorate the week. \n“The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a point of pride for Edmonton and a vital resource for families across Western Canada and the North\,” Edmonton Mayor Andrew Knack says\, “Stollery No Bounds Week recognizes the Hospital’s impact today and highlights the importance of building a new\, stand-alone children’s hospital for the future.” \n“When Edmontonians come together\, there’s no limit to what we can achieve. And that’s what No Bounds is – it’s a community effort to support the current needs at the Stollery today\, while helping build a new Stollery for tomorrow\,” says Foundation President & CEO Karen Faulkner\, “The Stollery is the most specialized children’s hospital in Western Canada and it’s time we give our talent\, and our kids and families\, the space they deserve.
