Experts say the single greatest way we can lower the cost of health is to prioritize children and their health.
Alberta’s growing population is the youngest in Canada. This means more young families, and more kids who will need specialized care in the decades ahead. However, our province currently has no plan for children’s health.
Our solution for kids’ health in Alberta is to:
- Continue to expand the Stollery’s services beyond the walls of the Hospital to advance the Stollery network of care in Alberta so that kids get the best care no matter where they live, because we know kids get better faster when they’re close to home
- Build a standalone Stollery Children’s Hospital – a centre of excellence to serve as a hub for the Stollery network of care
- Work with government to help develop a long-term plan for children’s health in Alberta
To do this, we need your support! We invite you to act now as one of our champions for children’s health.
With the right planning and investment, we can give the sickest kids the best chance at a long and healthy life and help the Stollery become the benchmark for other children’s health facilities around the world. When we invest in compassionate care for children today, we build healthier communities for tomorrow.
