Talitha's Hope 4 A Cure play area re-opening

First named in 2022 in honour of Talitha, current Stollery patient, the space recognizes her incredible journey. Talitha was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (PH) at just three years old, and in response, her mom, Nicole, started Talitha’s Hope 4 A Cure fundraiser to help kids like Talitha have the best chance at long and healthy lives.

Over the past 13 years, Nicole Moores has raised more than $1.5 million for the PH clinic at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, making a life-changing difference for PH patients and families.

Her family’s generosity has helped fund important initiatives like:

– A research fellowship
– A psychology outpatient pilot project
– An exercise program/medbike and so much more

The refreshed play area also features zebras, a symbol of hope and awareness for those with PH.

Thank you to the Moores family for their unwavering commitment to children with pulmonary hypertension across Western Canada and beyond.
