Pacing the road with milestones

In our ongoing effort to maximize donor support where it matters most—on the Hospital’s most urgent priorities—we have gone completely digital as we proudly highlight our many successes thanks to our growing community of supporters.

The Foundation’s impact on the Stollery Children’s Hospital is a direct result of our donors’ generosity: from folks in big cities to small hamlets; from single-family households to large corporations; from across Edmonton to across northern Alberta and beyond. Our donors are the difference!

If you have volunteered your time or made a donation to the Foundation, thank you! Your generosity makes a life-changing difference to kids and families. Here are a few examples of the vital impact you made in 2016-17.

Because of you, we invested $7 million to help open a brand new, state-of-the-art operating room for kids.

Because of you, we invested $40 million over ten years into the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute – the largest gift in the history of the University of Alberta.

Because of you, we trained more pediatric specialists and developed new family-centred care programs like pet therapy to help kids cope better and heal faster.

In addition to our Heroes magazine—which is loaded with stories of amazing kids, inspiring families and the transformational power of community support—here are more examples of just how critical your gifts are to the outcomes of kids and families at the Stollery.
