By donating your time and talents, you help us keep the cost of fundraising down, which means more of the funds we raise go to supporting world-class care for Stollery kids and their families. Volunteering with us is also a great way for you to meet new people, develop skills and have fun!

The Stollery Women’s Network (SWN) is made up of more than 300 supporters from backyards across Alberta, united in action with the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation to give all kids the best chance to live a long and healthy life.
Our Stollery Story Squad program gives families the opportunity to share their Stollery experience, say thank you and spread the word about the life-changing work being done at the Hospital.

We offer age-appropriate opportunities for volunteers 14 years of age and older. Note: Opportunities are limited for volunteers under 16 years of age. A parent or guardian may be required to volunteer with teens ages 14 and 15.
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to match your skills, availability and interests, including event support, community outreach and administrative support.

No. You can be a Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation volunteer for as many hours as fits your schedule.
Our Foundation’s values include accountability, energy, respect, inclusiveness, altruism and leadership. In keeping with our values, we look for volunteers who are dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic about making a difference for Stollery kids and their families.
Yes, we ask for two references (work-related or personal — not family) on our online application form.
Police Information Checks are only required for specific roles. If a PIC is required for your role, we will let you know. You are responsible for obtaining the check and paying the associated fee. Once obtained, PICs are valid with our Foundation for three years.
Approved applicants will receive an email with login information to our online volunteer portal, Volgistics. You may browse the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation volunteer opportunities and schedule yourself for shifts.
Yes. Online general orientations are offered once per month, and it is mandatory to attend a session prior to your first volunteer shift.
Once your volunteer application is approved, you will be given instructions on how to sign up for an orientation through your volunteer account and a link to the online session will be emailed to you one day before your scheduled orientation.
