Advancing pediatric care at the Stollery
Celebrating 25 years of our Tee Up for Tots golf invitational, proudly presented by the Thompson Family Foundation.
This year was a milestone for Tee Up for Tots. Not only was it 25 years of the golf invitational, it was also Thompson Family Foundation’s 10 years of presenting the event and we also returned to Jasper, where Jasper Park Lodge celebrated 100 years in business!
Our golfers stepped up to the occasion and raised $1.2 million for Stollery kids. Net proceeds from this year’s tournament will help fund the best people, programs, research and purchase much-needed pediatric equipment at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, such as the ENT Telepak System.
Currently when an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon receives a consultation to see an airway issue in a young patient, they view the child’s airway through a bronchoscope. If anyone else wants to watch, they have to look over their colleague’s shoulder or take turns looking into the scope.
The ENT Telepak System is an all-in-one system that combines a monitor, LED light source, camera, internal memory and network integration capability, allowing full surgical teams to view the procedure on a monitor at the same time, while also capturing and saving images to the child’s file. The ENT Telepak System allows for speed, precision and greater collaboration in the operating room.
Thank you to the Tee Up for Tots organizing committee, donors, sponsors and golfers for making a life-changing difference for Stollery kids from backyards across Alberta.
