Meet the Match: Capital Power
Today is Giving Tuesday and day three of Meet the Match, and we want to introduce you to today’s sponsor, Capital Power!
Capital Power has been supporting the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation for more than a decade! They’re a growth-oriented North American power producer, headquartered in Edmonton. They prioritize safely delivering reliable and affordable power that communities can depend on, building lower-carbon power systems and creating balanced solutions for our energy future.
We asked why it’s important to their organization to support the Foundation and Stollery Children’s Hospital:
With multiple offices and facilities across Alberta, including our headquarters in the heart of Edmonton, we understand the impact the Stollery has had on Albertans, including many members of our team. We’re proud to sponsor the work they do and are honoured to match donations today (December 2, 2025) up to $20,000 so Stollery families can continue receiving world-class care.
What has been the most impactful part about supporting the Stollery?
We’ve proudly supported the Stollery for more than a decade, recognizing the critical role it plays for families throughout Western Canada, including many on our team who have Stollery stories of their own. Hearing the incredible impact their specialized, compassionate care has had on children and families in our community makes this support personal. We believe a strong, healthy community benefits us all, and we’re honoured to contribute to that in any way we can.
What would you say to someone who is considering supporting the Foundation?
Supporting the Foundation is a powerful way to make a real difference — your generosity helps save lives, comfort families, and build a healthier future for kids.
“The world-class care provided by the Stollery continues to do so much for so many in Edmonton and beyond. Partnering with them for Meet the Match has become a proud tradition at Capital Power. There’s no greater investment than a bright, strong and healthy future for our kids.”
