Meet Greyson
Greyson loves science, Spider-Man and bugging his little sister – in a loving, big brother kind of way. After a bacterial sinus infection brought Greyson to the Stollery Emergency, doctors discovered two abscesses behind his eye that needed surgery.
After having a headache and waking up with a swollen eye, Greyson’s mom knew she had to take him to the Stollery Children’s Hospital. After spending a few hours and numerous tests, the team discovered the abscesses and rushed Greyson into surgery immediately. The surgeons were able access and drain the abscesses by entering through Greyson’s nose. He has returned to the Stollery for a few follow-ups and things have been good. Greyson will continue to be monitored by the Stollery team regularly to make sure no complications develop.
