Ava is a brave, kind-hearted and resilient girl who loves colouring, crafting and listening to Disney music. Born with a rare genetic condition and having 10 major surgeries since birth, Ava takes her infectious smile on the road every few months from Grande Prairie to Edmonton to visit her Stollerific team at the Hospital.

Okimasis comes from a close, traditional Indigenous family from Onicikiskwapowin, Saddle Lake Cree Nation. He loves spending time with his family and being part of ceremonies, and he enjoys oskapew – being a helper. Thanks to the team at the Stollery, Okimasis has been able to beat the odds and look at every challenge as an opportunity.Â
