The Stollery Medical Outpatients team provides care for children who don’t need to be admitted to the Hospital and need regular short- or long-term IV infusion therapy for various medical conditions such as blood disorders, rheumatic conditions, bone disorders, liver diseases and many other conditions. This unit also provides care for children who’ve had a transplant and need ongoing follow-up and treatments, before and after procedures during which they’re sedated, as well as for short-stay surgical patients after receiving bone marrow, kidney and liver biopsies.
The Stollery Medical Outpatients team is run by registered nurses and operates from 7 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Saturday in unit 2D3.
